in english riding boots

I am starting to show English and I don’t know what size boots to get :( or what kind I’m VERY confused can someone help me! I wear size 8 in normal shoes. PLEASE HELP FAIR IS COMING!

The foot sizes don’t change for English tall boots. However, they do have two other components of height and width.

For height, boots can come in short, regular, and tall.

For width, boots can come in slim, regular, and full. I think a few brands do have sizes larger than full as well.

Different brands fit their boots differently, just like different clothing companies can fit their clothes slightly differently. To find which size boot you need, wear your breeches and sit in a chair with your legs at a right angle. Measure from floor to the back of you knee (this is the heigh measurement) and around the widest portion of your calf (the width measurement). Compare these measurements to online size charts, or go to a local tack store and try on boots there.

Size 8. They run just like normal shoes. Some run a tad smaller or larger. Depends on brand and style. Just like regular shoes. It would help if you specified field boots or paddock boots.

I’m a size 7 or 8 shoe and tend to wear a 6 in riding boots. Best thing would be to go to your local tack shop and try on the different brands and sizes until you find one that fits you comfortably.

I’m a size 8 or 8 1/2 in normal and the same in riding boots… so they run the same.

Hmmm your best bet would be to go to an actual tack store and try on certain brands. Like shoes, boots have all different sizes. I range from a size 4 to a size 8 for heaven’s sake! You won’t want to have to return them and all that fuss, I’d think. What I did was go to my closest tack store, try on boots, then order the same size and brand online as I’d tried on. (They were $150 cheaper online).
