I found these Ralph Lauren boots online that I like and thought about getting for Fall. They seem like a classic style which is usually favorable (not a fad style), but wanted to get some opinions first at what type of skirt or dress would look best with these boots (below the knee skirt, above the knee, short dress?). Think these would pass more as a riding boot type look too?

What do you think? Here is the link so you can see the boots:

i think a mid-thigh length dress or a knee length skirt would look super cute with that, plus a girly blouse

How do I tell the size for me when I get a tall black riding boot? They only sell jodhpurs and half chaps around where I live but I want some tall black Riding boots. I am 5′4" and I wear is regular shoe size, 7l Idk the length of my leg… Is it possible that I could get them to go a little up my thigh so I could fold them to the right spot? Is this allowed in the outfit of hunter jumper?

Please don’t fold the tops of your boots. It’ll look ridiculous. I’m just being honest with you :P
If you’re going to order them online or from a catalog, look for one that has a how-to for measuring to fit tall boots. Honestly, I have a hard time finding tall boots that fit me correctly–my calves are wide, my right calf is at least an inch smaller than the left, I’m tall. If you’re buying them before trying them on, you might just have to return them and try another pair. That’s what I had to do.
Can you look in the phonebook and find a tack shop that’s somewhat far away (yet you or someone who would take you would be willing to drive) and does measurements? Trying them on is the best way to do it. It’ll be worth the drive if you can. Just make sure that if you go, you wear what you’ll be wearing most of the time when you use the boots.
