Well I’ve been Show Jumping Professionally for about 8 years, and i currently own and use the Ariat Womens tall boots (idk the exact name). But i was wondering if all the tory burch "riding boots" would actually be okay for real riding and competing? like:

and there also is :

does anyone know if are meant for actual competing, or if theyre are any others you recommend?
-thanks (:
I would definitely not use those boot for riding…real riding boots are designed to support your leg in all the right places in order to help you ride, these boots, although made to look like Riding boots, will not have that same functionality! For example, the calf area would be way too loose to provide you with the proper support and would limit your contact with your horse. The ankle area looks like it would have absolutely no give, making it extremely hard (and probably painful) for you to keep your heels down. Also, the boot in the first link has way too tall of a heel, for riding boot anyways.
I’ve always used Ariats, so I suggest just sticking with those unless you have a real reason for not liking them…my trainer wears mountain horse leather boots, you could give those a try.
