I got these tall boots (horseback riding) over the summer, they fit fine then, but now that I’m back at school, walking to class up hills and four flights of stairs to my room has made my calves larger!! The only boot I’m having trouble with is my right one. Are there any ideas for stretching them fast? I can’t even wear it for 10 minutes, how am I going to show? Any suggestions for stretching it out fast? I can try wearing them to a lesson, but I don’t know if I can keep them on that long. I can’t afford another pair right now, and no other riders I know have calves as big as mine. Please only give helpful answers!
PS. I thought it was bad to get leather wet? Would the boots really be in showing condition (hunter equitation) if I soaked them and shaped them? what kind of leather balm should I use?

I had this problem too, so I took my boots to a shop where they fix shoes. They have a really cool machine that will actually stretch boots. I would try that, it worked great for me!!

I have a brand new pair of gorgeous leather Riding boots with zips up the back. I can just about close them! Does anyone know of anyplace in Ireland that could somehow extend them or something? I don’t know if that’s even possible but they cost me 200euro and I can’t even wear them! Any ideas?

Thanks xxxxx

Hi,
You can by boot stretchers that you put inside the boot and they strech the leather for you, or I saw this trick that I’m sure would work on your boots too:
