Hi fashionistas. I've been on the hunt all winter for a great pair of low-heel/flat, equestrian-style boots in a tan/chestnut/cognac color. A little bit of buckle detailing is okay, chunky soles and crazy hardware are not (I need to be able to wear these to my conservative office).
I like the pair below, from Urban Outfitters, but I'm not 100% sold on them.
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=60&startValue=1&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=15237449&parentid=W_SHOES_BOOTS&sortProperties=+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=24&navAction=poppushpush&color=
Does anyone have other suggestions or pairs that they love? Please don't just say "Check DSW." I already know which stores sell shoes. I'd like links to specific pairs that you think are perfect.
Your shoe-hunting skills are much appreciated!
Nine West made the ones I have. They're gorgeous. Zappos.com of course. DSW. Enzo Angolini, I've bought real ones (that horse riders actually wear) off of ebay. Jessica Simpson makes a great pair right now as well.
Best brands: Ralph Lauren, Nine West, Enzo, Michael Kors, and other traditional, Americana style designers like Ralph Lauren and Hilfiger
what is your budget?

I'm going to horse camp this summer, and I need boots. However, I don't want boots that I could only wear for riding as I've never horseback rided before and don't know if I'll ever use them again. Are there any alternates for the boots or will I have to buy them? How much should I expect to pay?
What is a kamper?
If you're concerned about price, it's possible to get knee-high riding boots for quite decent prices (something like thirty dollars) on ebay (searching for vintage shoes in one's own size seems to do the trick).
You could also try paddock boots, which are only about ankle high. Lower end ones cost about thirty to forty dollars new. They don't really look much street shoes sold today, but I love them dearly anyway. They look sort of cool and retro and eighties.

i've noticed that my parents wash them with regular stuff, is that right? they seem kind of delicate, and its like, fox trotter brand or something.
Put the items into a pillowcase on a slow – cold wash, the pillowcase will protect them in the machine but still allow you to clean them thoroughly.

Rod's Western Palace has a great selection. Personally, I love Ariat ProBaby boots. Very comfy and stylish.
